I Will Not Worry

I will not worry, it wastes my time
It robs me of my peace of mind.
It means I don't trust God for things
Instead, I store them in my brain
Creating stress and needless strife -
I don't need worry in my life!
And when I worry, I often find
That 99 percent of time
That thing that caused unneeded stress
And added to unhappiness
All worked out and all was fine
The problem lived inside my mind.
So next time worry tempts me so
I’ll pray to God and let it go!

“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

“Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
- Matthew 6:34
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
- Philippians 4:6-7
